Training scholarships
When a family cannot cover monthly academy fees, we can pay a defined period of training so the child stays in class instead of disappearing from the roster.

New Era Project is the 501(c)(3) charity of PROSPORT LIMITED. We raise tax-deductible gifts so young athletes in the San Fernando Valley can train, travel, and compete — even when a family cannot cover the full cost of membership, gear, or a tournament weekend.

Mission
Talent is not evenly matched with household income. A child can show up, work, and still drop out mid-season because a gi ripped, a hotel for a tournament was too expensive, or a parent had to choose between rent and another month of training. New Era Project exists to close that gap.
Our mission is to remove financial and family barriers so youth athletes can train, compete, and grow through martial arts — with discipline, character, and real-world results on the mat. We do not sell gym memberships on this site. We raise charitable support for athletes who already train or who cannot start because cost is the only wall in front of them.
Work happens in Reseda at a dedicated training floor. The academy that hosts practices is a separate business that bills its own dues. This charity does not collect those dues. When a family cannot pay, we review a request and, when funds allow, cover a defined piece: a month of training, a uniform, a registration fee, a hotel night. Donors can see exactly what the gift is for before they give.
We also run free coach sessions for competing students and their parents. Those meetings are not tickets and not a condition of a donation. They exist because a kid who gets to a tournament still needs a plan for nerves, sleep, food, and what to do after a loss — and because parents need a place to ask how to support without adding pressure.
What we fund
When a family cannot cover monthly academy fees, we can pay a defined period of training so the child stays in class instead of disappearing from the roster.
Gis, rashguards, wrestling shoes, headgear, and basic protective gear. A child should not sit out because the uniform no longer fits or the family cannot replace it.
Registration, weigh-in costs, hotels, and transportation so a prepared athlete can actually step on the mat at the event they trained for.
Mid-season emergencies — a lost job, a medical bill, a sudden move — that would otherwise end the year. We keep the door open through the next competition cycle.
Give

If you want to sponsor a specific need — one hotel night, one gi, one month of training — write it in the donation note or email us. We will confirm how the money was applied.
